Disaster Unemployment Assistance (DUA). Businesses and residents whose employment or self-employment was lost or interrupted as a direct result of Hurricane Helene and are not eligible for regular state or federal Reemployment Assistance benefits may apply for this assistance program. Eligible Floridians are encouraged to submit a claim at www.FloridaJobs.org. In-person assistance with applications is available through CareerSource Hillsborough Pinellas at Pinellas locations – visit careersourcepinellas.com/career-services for addresses and hours. The deadline to submit a claim for DUA benefits is no later than December 2, 2024.
