Warrick Dunn to surprise a record three Habitat families with furnished homes on Tuesday
The former Bucs running back is helping three single moms with completely furnished homes courtesy of Aaron's.
Clearwater, FL – Three single parents are set to become first-time homeowners thanks to Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside, but when they arrive at their new homes on October 29, they will be shocked to find Bucs legend Warrick Dunn in the driveway, delivering a life-changing surprise in the form of a $5,000 down-payment assistance check and $10,000 worth of furnishings from Aaron’s!
While Warrick Dunn Charities (WDC) and Aaron’s frequently deliver dual surprises, this marks the first time in over a decade they have delighted THREE families on the same day.
The events will bring the running total to 232 home celebrations nationwide – with 61 in the Tampa Bay area – by Warrick Dunn Charities (WDC), the former NFL star’s non-profit organization that identifies single parents across the country and helps them achieve their goal of first-time homeownership as part of its “Homes for the Holidays” program. While the new homes are earned and financed through Habitat for Humanity, Aaron’s provides $10,000 worth of home furnishings, turning an empty shell into a move-in-ready dream home on day one. Additionally, WDC gifts a $5,000 down-payment assistance check and ensures the home is fully stocked, with support provided by Ryan Jumonville.
Media are invited to attend these events. Interviews will be granted upon request. Information on the families can be found below.

Habitat for Humanity Tampa Bay Gulfside Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity has served over 900 homeowner partners since 1985. The affiliate serves Pinellas, West Pasco, and Hernando Counties. Volunteers and future homeowners construct the homes, which are sold and financed with a zero-interest loan. Habitat homeowner candidates earn 30 to 80 percent of the area median income. Candidates must demonstrate the need for adequate shelter; the ability to pay back a zero-interest loan and the willingness to partner with Habitat to complete a robust homebuyer education curriculum and invest 350 to 450 “sweat equity” hours. Mortgage monies are used to build even more homes, making each donation to Habitat a perpetual legacy to the community. Habitat believes that homeownership contributes to family stability, leading, in turn, to community stability. For more information, call (727) 536-4755 or visit www.habitatpwp.org.
