"VooDoo Underground" Returns for Season 4
Step into the VooDoo kitchen, where the heat is high and the flavors don’t play nice.
VooDoo Underground, hosted by Chef Erik Youngs, CEC—better known as the VooDoo Chef—returns for its fourth season on July 28 at 2:00 p.m. Produced by the multi-award-winning video produciton company, Red House Streaming, the series showcases the talent, creativity, and determination of the next generation of culinary professionals through an exciting high school cooking competition.
“This season of VooDoo Underground has been the best yet,” said Youngs. “The students definitely brought their A-game, and I’m proud to create a stage where they can showcase their talents. This is their Friday Night Lights. This is VooDoo Underground!“
Youngs is a Certified Executive Chef (CEC) with more than 40 years of experience in the hospitality and foodservice industry and 29 years as a culinary educator in Hillsborough County Public Schools. A nationally recognized, award-winning chef, educator, author, and mentor, Youngs founded the VooDoo Chef Foundation in 2017 to expand educational opportunities for aspiring culinary professionals.
Through VooDoo Underground, local high school students compete in a fast-paced culinary competition for the opportunity to earn a full-tuition scholarship to the Hillsborough Culinary Academies at Erwin Technical College, helping launch the next generation of culinary leaders.
The Season 4 premiere arrives during a nationwide celebration of burgers, food culture, and culinary innovation, providing the perfect backdrop for one of Tampa Bay’s most exciting culinary competitions.
