The Kiwanis Club of St. Petersburg Celebrates 100 years of Community Service

The Kiwanis Club celebrated 100 years of community service supporting children's charities. City of St. Petersburg Mayor Ken Welch proclaimed October 4th Kiwanis Day in St. Petersburg. The celebration culminated with our annual dinner and officer installation.

The evening included a presentation by Bayprint President Al Karnavicius with original photos, covering much of our club's 100-year history. Al also produced amazing photo board displays so we could get a really great look at some of the photos that were in our archives which documented our clubs' activities over the years.

Outgoing President Sean Moore of VanDyk Mortgage Corporation assisted incoming President Daniel Stone of Valley Bank with the traditional orange blazer and vest.

Sean Moore presented the annual club awards. David Feaster received the layperson of the year and Chris Allen received the Kiwanian of the year.

Our new club leadership team of Officers and Directors was also formally inducted by Lt. Governor Tom Hession. We were very fortunate to receive congratulations and recognition from Florida District Governor Sharon Moody. Thanks also to Kiwanis International.
