ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Creative Clay’s premiere fundraiser, Spring for the Arts, returns to NOVA 535 in St. Petersburg, April 21, 6-9 p.m.

The event features an art exhibit, Iconic Landmarks Lost, portrait drawing by Creative Clay member artists, live music by Disston Ridge, Sparks performance, food by Island Flavors and ‘Tings and robust 50/50 opportunity drawing, a silent auction with gorgeous hand-painted guitars and drums by Creative Clay member artists.

One Breath from the Sea, the collaboration with Sparks, features selections from an upcoming dance-theatre performance inspired by the movement of Pinellas currents, tides and microscopic marine creatures, choreographed by Helen Hansen French – with words by Creative Clay performed in English by Stephanie Roberts, in Spanish by Fernando Chonqui and in American Sign Language by Carol Downing.

"It's always a great gift collaborating with the amazing visual and performing artists of Creative Clay – and it will be a beautiful experience to share their words, as artists work with poet Sara Ries Dziekonski on the script for this performance,” said Playwright Sheila Cowley of the Sparks Collaborative Ensemble.
