St. Petersburg College top ranked for online programs in 2022 U.S. News & World Report study

U.S. News & World Report 2022 rankings list St. Petersburg College No. 1 for Best Online Bachelor’s in Business among eligible participating colleges in the Florida College System (FCS). 

The college also placed third for Best Online Bachelor’s Program Overall and Best Online Bachelor’s Program for Veterans, compared to other eligible participating FCS institutions, according to rankings released by U.S. News & World Report this week. 

“At SPC, we ensure academic excellence by creating an innovative and engaging learning environment that prepares our students to thrive in the workforce,” SPC President Dr. Tonjua Williams said. “We’re especially proud of this recognition for our online programs as we continue to invest in our technology infrastructure in order to meet the needs of our students. Thank you to our faculty, staff and administrators for their dedication.”

Among all participating Florida colleges and universities, SPC placed No. 8 for Best Online Bachelor’s Program in Business and Best Online Bachelor’s Program for Veterans, and No. 10 for Best Online Bachelor’s Program Overall.

“St. Petersburg College has been a leader in online education for more than 20 years, and our online bachelor’s degree program in business is top notch,” SPC Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Matthew Liao-Troth said. “This national external recognition is indicative of the quality teaching and support our faculty and staff provide our students.”

SPC is Florida's first two-year college and the first to offer bachelor’s degrees. The college offers more than 110 degree and certificate programs, including many high-skill, industry-recognized workforce certifications.
