SPAA’s Funding Futures Awards Program - Applications now OPEN

SPAA’s Funding Futures Awards Program

Enters its Seventh Year in Helping Young Artists Grow!

Applications are now open to talented student artists with documented financial need aged 10-17 in Pinellas County who aspire to be musicians, actors, dancers, writers, visual or digital artists. These students are often faced with a financial need that prevents many of them from pursuing their artistic path forward. SPAA’s Funding Futures Awards Program is dedicated to helping students nurture their creative interests and develop their expressive talent by providing funding to those eligible and connecting them to local after school arts programs or summer arts camps.

Last season, the Arts Alliance funded summer art camps for dozens of students at organizations such as American Stage, the Morean Arts Center, Girls Rock, the Academy of Ballet Arts, Keep St. Pete Lit and St. Pete Music, Acting and Dance!

Funding Futures is designed to identify and encourage talented at-risk emerging artists in Pinellas County seeking St. Pete programs in the categories of dance, music, jazz, voice, theater, digital arts, photography, cinematic arts or visual arts. The program is open to all talented artists regardless of race, ethnic, social background, sexual orientation, gender identity or ability/disability

Funds may be used for:

● Tuition for summer arts programs, both live and virtual

● Musical instruments rental, purchase or repair

● Equipment or supplies for a special artistic project

● Individual instruction or master class tuition

Organizations may nominate students and parents/guardians may apply for a grant for their student online. https://stpeteartsalliance.org/education/funding-futures

Major funding sources from the Pinellas Community Foundation, Suncoast Credit Union Foundation, Creative Pinellas, the National Endowment for the Arts and individual donors have helped build the Funding Futures Grant Program for the past six years. If you are interested in supporting Funding Futures, your gift will help a young artist advance their interest in art and further develop their creative thinking, problem solving, communication and cooperation skills, becoming a more well-rounded adult. https://stpeteartsalliance.org/donate/

Our Mission: The St. Petersburg Arts Alliance is the umbrella organization serving this vital arts and cultural community. We do so by driving arts-related economic development and funding, advocating for art and artists, educating at all levels and facilitating the growth of our City of the Arts.
