MONDAY: Faith Build Home Bible Placement in Largo
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE |
2024 Habitat Faith Build Family to Place Bible in Foundation The Poole Family will have a Bible Placement ceremony to kick off the build process
Largo, FL – Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties will host a special Bible Placement ceremony for its 2024 Faith Build Home on Monday, April 18th at 9:00 a.m. at 1251 Gooden Crossing, Largo, FL 33778. The Faith Build is an annual Habitat specialty build aimed to bring faith congregations together to build a home for a local family. The Bible ceremony provides an opportunity for partners to gather, bless the property, and meet the family.
This year's Faith Build partner, the Poole Family, is heavily devoted to their faith and church. Parents Ashley and Micah met in 8th grade and have grown together through their faith and passion to spread God's message. While holding full-time jobs, Ashley and Micah are also speakers and teachers at New Philadelphia Ministries in St. Petersburg.
The Poole Family has led conversations at several faith services to spread the word of the Faith Build and engage different communities to support the build through sponsorships, donations, and volunteer opportunities. You can find their Faith Build introductory video here. |
Habitat's Faith Build Home has gained the support of several churches and faith-based organizations from around the Tampa Bay region. Among those committed to the project are:
Altar Sponsor: Anona United Methodist Church
Pillar Sponsors: Pasadena Community Church, Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, St. Catherine of Siena Catholic
Foundation Sponsors: All Saints Catholic Church, Central Christian Church of Clearwater, Philadelphia Ministries, New Philadelphia Christian Center
Media are invited to attend this special bible placement and all home dedications. |
Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County and West Pasco Counties Driven by the vision that everyone needs a decent place to live, Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco Counties has served over 860 homeowner partners since 1985. Volunteers and future homeowners construct the homes, which are sold at no profit and financed with a zero-interest loan. Habitat homeowner candidates earn 30 to 80 percent of the area median income. Candidates must demonstrate the need for adequate shelter; the ability to pay back a zero-interest loan, and the willingness to partner with Habitat to complete a robust homebuyer education curriculum and invest 350 to 450 “sweat equity” hours. Mortgage monies are used to build even more homes, making each donation to Habitat a perpetual legacy to the community. Habitat believes that homeownership contributes to family stability, leading, in turn, to community stability.
