LMCU Celebrates SHINE Mural Festival with a Week of Community Events and Local Collaboration

St. Petersburg, FL — November 8, 2025 — Lake Michigan Credit Union (LMCU) is proud to join the 11th annual SHINE Mural Festival, celebrating the power of art, collaboration, and community connection in the heart of St. Petersburg. The festivities kick off with a series of community networking events and open houses hosted at LMCU’s 4th Street Branch (2180 4th Street N, St. Petersburg, FL 33704), where one of this year’s first murals is coming to life on the building’s exterior.

Throughout the week, LMCU will host “Community Chats” — morning coffee gatherings featuring local business leaders and creatives at 9:00 daily. Co-sponsored by Kahwa Coffee, a proud supporter of SHINE and the St. Petersburg Arts Alliance (SPAA), these sessions invite residents and professionals to connect over topics ranging from digital innovation, construction, wellness and women’s leadership.

Kahwa’s sponsorship is especially meaningful: Sarah Perrier, co-founder of Kahwa Coffee and a member of the SPAA Board of Directors, uses her background in dance to advocate for arts funding and strengthen connections between businesses and artists across St. Petersburg. While she may not be in attendance, her ongoing commitment to supporting local art initiatives like SHINE is one of the reasons Kahwa proudly sponsors the event.

• Tuesday, November 11: Closed in honor of Veteran’s Day

• Wednesday, November 12 (9 AM-10 AM): Sara Guest, Cyberlicious – “Digital Marketing + AI”

• Thursday, November 13 (9 AM – 12 PM): Amplify Women Tampa Bay – “Start Your Morning on the Bright Side.” Join the LMCU team and community partners to celebrate the new mural created by artist Sara Salem, Art Director at Phi Phi Artland. Learn about the inspiration behind the artwork and how public art continues to shape St. Pete’s creative culture.

• Thursday, November 13 (4 PM – 5:30 PM): LMCU Open House – Watch the mural take shape, meet the artist, explore the branch, and enter to win local artwork, coffee, gift cards and other fun prizes and giveaways featuring Creative Clay, Chad Mize and other local favorites!

• Friday, November 14 (9 AM- 10 AM): Dr. Aissa McGuirl – “Holistic Fitness & Nutrition for Everyday Life”
