Junior League of St. Petersburg Hosts Pickleball-O-Ween Fundraiser to Support Local Community Programs

ST. PETERSBURG (September 16, 2025) – The Junior League of St. Petersburg (JLSP) is excited to announce its inaugural Pickleball-O-Ween Tournament fundraiser on Saturday, October 18th from 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM at Pickle & Pint Indoor Courts in Largo, FL. This fun, family-friendly event will feature an afternoon of mixed doubles pickleball matches, a costume contest, BBQ lunch, drinks, opportunity drawings, and plenty of excitement—all to support JLSP’s ongoing community programs and projects across St. Petersburg.

Participants can register as a doubles team or as an individual (JLSP will pair you up to form a team). There will also be an optional costume contest for those who want to get into the Halloween spirit, with a $10 entry. Not a pickleball pro? No problem! Spectators can join in on the fun with a $35 spectator ticket (kids 5 & under are free) to cheer on the teams, enjoy the atmosphere, and grab some lunch.

"We are thrilled to bring something new and fun to the community, while also raising funds for our ongoing programs," said Jaimie Kane, President of JLSP. "This event combines friendly competition with the chance to make a meaningful impact, all while bringing the community together."

Proceeds from the event will go directly to the Junior League of St. Petersburg’s programs, which focus on improving literacy, health, and nutrition across the St. Petersburg area. Since 1931, JLSP has been committed to empowering women and supporting local families through hands-on volunteer efforts and community-based initiatives.

The Pickleball-O-Ween event will include an award-winning BBQ lunch buffet and drinks will be available for purchase. Equipment will be provided, though participants are welcome to bring their own paddles. Sponsorship opportunities are available ranging from $250 to $1,500, with all proceeds contributing to JLSP’s mission of advancing women’s leadership, driving social change, and creating lasting community impact.
