HCA Florida Northside Hospital hosts Heart Healthy Lunch and Learn
Managing Heart Failure for a Full, Enjoyable Life
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (February 21, 2024) – HCA Florida Northside Hospital is excited to bring timely health topics to our community, allowing participants to meet medical experts, during a lunch and learn format. HCA Florida Northside Hospital and Melinda Coffman, APRN, Medical Director of the hospital’s Heart Failure Clinic will present on Heart Failure on Thursday, February 29th from noon to 1 p.m. as part of the hospital’s Heart Month celebrations. The term heart failure sounds like the heart is no longer working at all. Actually, heart failure, sometimes called HF, means that the heart isn’t pumping as well as it should.
Heart failure is a serious condition, and usually there’s no cure. The good news is that many people with heart failure lead a full, enjoyable life when the condition is managed with heart failure medications and a healthy lifestyle. Learn about the latest recommendations and how a few healthy changes can make a big difference. The presentation will be held at HCA Florida Northside Hospital, Medical Office Plaza 2nd floor auditorium 6006 49th Street North, St. Petersburg, on Thursday, February 29, 12-1 p.m.
