HCA Florida Northside Hospital hosts healthcare career day
St. Petersburg, Fla. – July 24, 2023 − HCA Florida Northside Hospital hosted the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Suncoast for a Healthcare Career Day. The teens learned about healthcare careers including the education and career path for a rewarding career in emergency room (ER) and intensive care unit (ICU) nursing. There was a hands on demonstration by the hospital infection control team and a nutrition overview from hospital registered dieticians. The teens also had the opportunity to participate in a Hands Only CPR lesson from Sunstar Paramedics. Sunstar also provided an overview on emergency medical service careers including a direct look at life saving amenities located on an ambulance.
