HCA Florida Northside Hospital hosts All About AFib Heart Health Seminar
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (April 26, 2024) – HCA Florida Northside Hospital is excited to bring timely health topics to our community, allowing participants to meet medical experts, during a lunch and learn format. HCA Florida Northside Hospital’s Josip Katinic, DNP, The Heart Institute-Northside, will discuss symptoms and treatment options for Atrial Fibrillation. This informative community health seminar will be held on Tuesday, April 30 from noon to 1 p.m.
Nearly three million people in the United States have Atrial Fibrillation (AFib). AFib is an irregular heartbeat or arrhythmia as defined by the American Heart Association (AHA). AHA says AFib can lead to blood clots, stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications. Once you learn you have it, there are treatment options.
