Friends of the Kentucky Oaks Announces October 9 Meet & Greet
Community gathering will introduce guests to FKYO’s growing events, partnerships and charitable work
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — Friends of the Kentucky Oaks (FKYO), a St. Petersburg-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, will host a Fall Meet & Greet on Friday, October 9, 2026, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Petersburg Country Club.
The casual evening will give community members, local businesses and supporters an opportunity to meet the FKYO board, learn more about the organization and connect with others interested in making a positive impact in the community.
Guests will enjoy light hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar, along with a brief presentation highlighting FKYO’s upcoming events and its continued growth as a community-focused nonprofit.
FKYO’s 2027 event calendar includes the 3rd Annual Pickleball for Pink Tournament on February 6, 2027, and the organization’s 153rd Kentucky Oaks Fundraiser on April 30, 2027. Proceeds from FKYO’s 2027 events will support St. Anthony’s Hospital Foundation.
“We’re excited to open the doors to FKYO and introduce more people to what we’re building here in St. Petersburg,” said Mark O’Hara, President of Friends of the Kentucky Oaks. “The Meet & Greet is a chance to bring people together, share our plans for the future and create new connections throughout our community.”
