On April 25th, St. Petersburg Shuffleboard Club is celebrating the 20th anniversary of its popular Friday Night Shuffle. Friday night shuffle was the main catalyst that helped revitalize the popularity of the shuffleboard club, bringing visitors of all ages who come out to enjoy spending time on the historic courts under the stars. By 2005, membership had dwindled to less than 50. Since the start of the Friday nights, membership has steadily increased. The club now boasts 2,600 members.
In addition to shuffleboard, Daddy Kool Records presents The Chance Reynolds Trio, who will perform live from 7:30-9:30 on the grandstand courts, The Crooked Johnson will be selling gourmet hot dogs and sausages, Cycle Brewing will be operating a beer tent, and a limited-edition shirt designed by Chad Mize will be available for purchase.
