Thermal Spray Technician/Engineer

This is a DIRECT HIRE role for an experienced Thermal Spray Technician/Engineer. You will work with a GREAT team and learn valuable skills working with a major national corporation and work on components for DoD, spacecraft, fighter jets, missiles, surgical equipment, power generation, and other complex machinery. GREAT PAY based on your experience.

Duties:

·Operating thermal spray system to coat precision parts with ceramic, carbide and metallic coatings.

·Run thermal spray console according to established parameters.

·Load and operate coating material feeders.

·Measure parts for coating coverage to specifications using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices.

·Operate industrial robot to apply coating properly.

·Review job traveler, drawings, and specifications to determine areas of part to be masked, cleaned, grit blasted, and coated.

·Prepare parts for thermal spraying to including cleaning, fixturing, masking, and grit blasting.

·Setup various types of tooling, fixturing, and parts for coating.

·Perform in-process dimensional checks using micrometer, caliper, or other instrumentation.

·Maintain and repair thermal spray coating equipment.

·Report to shift supervisor on production status, problems, and deviations.

·Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations and take action to correct unsafe conditions where identified.

·Maintain department housekeeping standards.

· High School diploma, Technical Trade School or Certificate preferred

· Industry experience accepted in lieu of schooling
