Schakolad Chocolate Factory, a locally owned chocolate shop in the heart of downtown St. Petersburg, is looking for a friendly, dependable and enthusiastic Full-Time Customer Service Associate to join our team!
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping customers, takes pride in providing outstanding service and thrives in a fun, fast-paced retail environment and interested in becoming a valued, long-term member of our team.
Responsibilities Include:
Greeting customers and providing exceptional customer service
Assisting customers with chocolate selections, gifts and custom orders
Preparing specialty coffees, espresso drinks, hot chocolate and other beverages
Operating our Square point-of-sale system and handling transactions
Packaging chocolates and assembling gift boxes
Restocking merchandise and maintaining attractive displays
Keeping the shop clean, organized, and welcoming
Working as part of a team during busy holiday periods

Enjoys interacting with customers
Can multitask and remain organized during busy periods
Is comfortable learning to prepare specialty coffee beverages

Retail, hospitality,or coffee shop experience is preferred, but a great attitude and strong work ethic are equally important.

Preferred Qualifications : Friendly, dependable, excellent communication skills, positive attitude, attention to detail, ability to multitask and willingness to earn. Dependability, punctuality, and excellent attendance are essential. Candidates must be comfortable working in a fast-paced retail environment, handling multiple responsibilities, and learning specialty coffee preparation.

Needed Availability/Scheduling : Full-time position, approximately 40 hours per week. Must have flexible availability, including weekdays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays during our busy seasons. Schedule will vary based on business needs.
Preferred Experience : Previous retail, customer service, hospitality or barista experience preferred. Experience with POS systems and cash handling is a plus.

Pay/Salary : $11.98 per hour base pay plus tips, with a guaranteed minimum of $17.00 per hour. Additional performance-based bonus opportunities.
