What we are looking for:

 

We are looking for our next team member who wants to contribute to making a difference for students in Pinellas County. Our mission only happens when we have great talent working collaboratively. The Development Coordinator plays a key role in strengthening donor relationships and supporting the Development team’s administrative needs. This position is responsible for implementing a comprehensive stewardship plan to ensure donors feel valued and engaged with Pinellas Education Foundation. Additionally, the Development Coordinator provides administrative support for fundraising initiatives, maintains donor records, and assists in donor communications and event coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

Donor Stewardship & Engagement:

  • Assist in the implementation of the stewardship plan to ensure timely and personalized recognition of Foundation donors
  • Execute stewardship efforts such as thank-you calls, handwritten notes, donor impact updates, and creative recognition initiatives
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to highlight donor stories and showcase the impact of their support
  • Assist in creating donor engagement materials, including letters, emails, and video content

Fundraising & Administrative Support:

  • Assist in executing fundraising appeals through direct mail/email appeals, employee giving campaigns, and school supply drives
  • Maintain accurate donor records in Raiser’s Edge, tracking cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship efforts
  • Assist in donor outreach, event planning, and on-site event support
  • Provide administrative support to the Development team, including scheduling, data entry, and preparing reports.
  • Prepare monthly updates on donor engagement and fundraising progress for the Chief Development Officer

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Raiser’s Edge is a plus.

Needed Availability/Scheduling : 8 hour shift. This position works out of our Largo office. Traveling to and attending occasional morning, afternoon, night, or weekend events will be required.

Preferred Experience : • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• 1 year of experience in fundraising, donor relations, nonprofit development, sales, client relations, or administrative support
• Experience writing donor communications and/or creating donor video content a plus
