West St. Pete CommUNTY Picnic

Saturday, September 23, 2023 (5:00 PM - 8:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

The West St. Pete CommUNITY Picnic will be taking place on Saturday, September 23rd from 5pm-8pm at Azalea Park. The rain date will be Sunday, September 24th.

This event is meant to do one thing— bring us together. This picnic is open to the public, completely free to attend and meant for all of St. Pete! It will be a family-friendly, leashed dog-friendly event that you won’t want to miss!

Some of St. Pete’s best food trucks will be there! Shiso Crispy, Slammer Shop, Duke of Ribs, and Uncle Louie G’s will all be providing delicious bites so bring your appetite!

St. Pete Police will have a motorcycle unit and SWAT truck on site for attendees to see up-close and personal! St. Pete Fire Rescue will have a firetruck for folks to see inside and learn about as well.

There will be a K-9 unit demonstration, so you can see just exactly how the dogs do their jobs, as well as a Birds of Prey demonstration where attendees will be able to learn about the various species of birds and see them in-person.

Yard games including jenga, corn hole, and connect 4 will be available to play with. There will plenty of seating, a balloon artist and a DJ playing music throughout the picnic!

Mark James of Hank’s Bark Box will be on site accepting donations of dog and cat food, so please consider bringing a contribution!

Love Thy Neighbor Florida will be on site accepting donations of non perishable food items and hygiene products. Consider bringing a donation if you can!

This will be the first time this many different west St. Pete neighborhoods have come together for something like this! It will without a doubt be an absolute blast for everyone involved!

This is a true, grassroots community event that will bring together our police, fire, small businesses, local nonprofits, among a host of other partners.

Save the date and come on out! Saturday, September 23rd, 5pm-8pm at Azalea Park
