St. Pete Scoop: Housing Solutions for All
Tuesday, November 15, 2022 (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) (EST)
Description
We all know that affordable housing in the St. Petersburg area — both rental and homeownership — is a glaring need. Our city officials are working to address the problem, along with local developers, foundations, and social services agencies. Each entity sees this singular issue as a hurdle that holds back growth and progress in multiple ways. Now is the time for stakeholders across sectors to come together to ensure that adequate employee housing exists in our city to prepare for a prosperous future.
Join us in this community conversation to learn more about the current state of housing in our city from experts in staffing, development, and the rental industry. In early October, the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce held a Housing Retreat to gather information and compile several recommendations for elected officials and the St. Petersburg region. This event will highlight the findings from the Housing Retreat and outline next steps.
This event is part of the "St. Pete Scoop" monthly advocacy event series. Enjoy a SCOOP of delicious ice cream from our partner, Small Batch Creamery, at the event. Upcoming events will feature opportunities to learn more about relevant and pertinent advocacy topics in St. Petersburg including employee housing, elections and more.
