National Youth Heart Screening Day at Galen College of Nursing

National Youth Heart Screening Day is an event to raise awareness and equip communities with vital, life-saving knowledge. 1 in 300 youth have a detectable, potentially life-threatening heart condition. An ECG can detect up to 95% of the conditions that cause Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Youth aged 10-25 can register to receive a FREE Electrocardiogram (ECG), blood pressure reading, and an introduction to CPR/AED.  There will also be heart health activities like mini-yoga sessions and food trucks!  This ECG fulfills the new ECG requirement for students to participate in high school athletics per the Second Chance Act signed on July 1, 2025.
