Roy Peter Clark has been called "America's writing coach." He has earned that title from more than 40 years of work, encouraging writers of all ages, from elementary school children to Pulitzer Prize-winning authors.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Roy has spread his influence as a contributing writer to the Tampa Bay Times, offering readers hope, humor, and inspiration through unprecedented difficult times.

He now offers his 20th book on writing, reading, grammar, language, and literature. "Tell It Like It Is" is a guide to clear and honest writing in the public interest.  It adds to a series of books that have sold more than a half-million copies and been translated into ten languages, including Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Turkish, Spanish, German, and Danish.
