18th Annual Tarpon Rodeo is June 16

Tierra Verde, FL- Tampa Bay Watch will host the 18th Annual Tarpon Rodeo, presented by Great Bay Distributors, an all release fishing tournament on Friday, June 16. Anglers will fish their favorite spots throughout Tampa Bay from one mile offshore running north to Redington Fishing Pier and south to Longboat Pass. Bronze entries are still available – captain your own vessel with four (4) anglers for $1,000 prize purse.

What: 18th Annual Tarpon Rodeo to benefit Tampa Bay Watch

Who: Teams from across the bay will compete for $3,000 in prizes and a plaque on the perpetual trophy. The winning team will be determined by the total number of tarpon legally released.

When & Where: The tournament launches from Fort De Soto Boat Ramp on June 16 at 7:00 AM with an Award Ceremony at The Island Grille in Tierra Verde from 1:00 - 3:00 PM.

Why: Every team entry directly benefits the mission to make the Tampa Bay watershed a more resilient habitat for native species. Each year funds raised through the tournament are redistributed back into the community through living shorelines, childhood marine science programs, and volunteer projects to improve our waterways.
