State of the Island: Egmont Key

Wednesday, November 12, 2025 (2:00 PM - 6:00 PM) (EST)

Description

A Progress Check-In on Restoration and Collaborative Stewardship

In the months since the State of the Island forum in May, Egmont Key has continued to symbolize both the urgency and opportunity of regional resilience. Stakeholders have taken important first steps toward coordinated recovery efforts—but the work is far from over.

Join the St. Pete Chamber and our key stakeholders for Egmont Key: Continuing the Conversation, a follow-up convening designed to evaluate progress, share current data, and reaffirm commitments to the island’s ecological, historical, and cultural preservation.

This gathering will bring together key representatives from local, state, and federal agencies, conservation organizations, and the business community to assess milestones reached since our last meeting and identify the next priorities for action. Participants will review restoration efforts, management coordination updates, and opportunities for ongoing collaboration to protect this irreplaceable landmark for generations to come.

Together, we’ll build on the momentum of our earlier work—transforming ideas into measurable impact and ensuring Egmont Key remains a thriving ecological sanctuary and living testament to our region’s history.
