The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce is continuing its commitment to nonpartisan voter education with Friday Forums, a casual happy hour series bringing together Chamber members, community leaders, and candidates advancing to the General Election.
This is a FREE, ticketed event for Chamber members only. Light bites will be provided, beer and wine will be available for purchase. All candidates who will appear on St. Petersburg area ballots have been invited to the following events below:
SEPTEMBER 18 - Pinellas County Board of County Commissioner and Pinellas County School Board races
OCTOBER 2 - Florida Governor, CFO, Commissioner of Agriculture, State Senate (District 18), State House (District 60) and State House (District 61) races
OCTOBER 16 - US Senate, US Congress (District 13) and US Congress (District 16) races
Skip the podiums and formal debate format. Friday Forums are designed to create space for conversation and connection, giving attendees the opportunity to meet candidates one-on-one, ask their own questions, and learn more about the people seeking to represent our community—all in a relaxed, mix-and-mingle setting.
Each Friday Forum will feature candidates from select races on the November ballot. Candidates will have an opportunity to briefly introduce themselves and their priorities before joining attendees for informal conversation over drinks and networking.
The St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce is a nonpartisan organization and does not endorse or recommend candidates or political parties. Friday Forums are designed as an educational and civic engagement opportunity to help our members and community make informed decisions at the ballot box.
