The Chamber’s Political Action Committee (PAC)

The St. Pete Chamber Political Action Committee (PAC) is designed to support candidates for elected office who support the business and quality of life priorities set forth by the Business & Quality of Life Policy Agenda.  The agenda works to facilitate a strong community with a healthy economy run by good government practices.  The St. Pete Chamber PAC is an affiliated political committee of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

The St. Pete Chamber PAC has made its selection of candidates to support for the upcoming St. Petersburg municipal election.  The decisions were difficult and all candidates did a good job during the interview process.  However, in the end The PAC made its decisions based on the candidates who would best serve business, industry and quality of life issues, based on The Chamber’s Business & Quality of Life Agenda.

District 2— Jim Kennedy

District 4— Leslie Curran

District 5— Angela Rouson

District 6— Karl Nurse

District 8— Jeff Danner

2009 ELECTION RESULTS»

The Chamber PAC had an accuracy rating of 83% in that in 5 of the 6 races, the Chamber PAC supported candidate won their respective race. 

Mayor:                 Bill Foster with 53% of the vote

District 2:             Jim Kennedy with 55.7% of the vote

District 4:             Leslie Curran with 71.9% of the vote

District 5:             Steve Kornell with 59.5% of the vote

District 6:             Karl Nurse with 73.8% of the vote

District 8:             Jeff Danner with 72.2% of the vote
