I've lived in the Tampa Bay area for 8 years and have worked just about everywhere but St. Petersburg. I changed firms last August and am finally working where I live. I wanted to meet other young professionals in St. Petersburg and get to know the faces of our local businesses.
If you won the lottery today, what would you do?
It depends how much the prize was. If it was a small jackpot, I would probably still work for a few years. If it was a huge jackpot, I would invest the money, pay myself the fee on it, and only show up in the office one day a year.

St. Petersburg is such a great community to live in but had gotten a bad rap for being “too old.” SPYP strives to host events that not only provide ample networking but introduce young professionals to other great St. Petersburg venues!

If I won the lottery I would probably take a luxurious week-long vacation, minus the cell phone and email! Then when I got back with any money I had leftover I’d probably look into starting my own international charity.

ACT Committee - Honda Grand Prix Volunteer Request
Volunteers Needed on:
Saturday, March 27th
7:30 AM - 1:00 PM or
12:30 PM - 6 PM

Grandstand Ambassadors provide assistance in finding seats (and police to make sure all patron in the grandstands have tickets).
All volunteers will receive a Grand Prix t-shirt, a meal pass, free entry into the race for the day and parking.
There will be a volunteer orientation session on Saturday, March 20th, 9AM at the Mahaffey Theatre.

Friday Night Wine and Music Series
This free event is open to the public and will continue through November on every third Friday of every month.
The event always features live jazz music in the BayWalk courtyard.
Wine is sold for $3 per glass with 100% of the proceeds going to a different charity each month.
This month’s charity is the Tampa Bay Chapter of the American Red Cross for the earthquake victims of Haiti.
