St. Petersburg, with an average age of 38,  hosts  the annual internationally renowned St. Anthony's Triathlon & the Honda Grand Prix Street Race (ESPN world-wide) and recently hosted the NCAA Men's & Women's Final Four, the men's ACC Basketball Tournament, the 1996 Vice Presidential debates, welcomed the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team into our city's Tropicana Field as their permanent home and the Tampa Bay Bucanners, Tampa Bay Lightning, LPGA Legends Golf Tounament, ESPN St. Pete Bowl, St. Anthony's Triathlon and the Transitions PGA Championship into our region and shared in the job growth of the Tampa Bay region that has led the nation.
